Shocking Recordings Leave Poles Stunned — What Should the Prime Minister Do? ‘This Is the Core of Tusk’s Problem.’

“F**kups” – that’s how Prime Minister Donald Tusk referred to people from certain regions of Poland a few years ago. “If something like this happened in a Western European country, the Prime Minister would resign,” commented Law and Justice (PiS) MP Michał Wójcik.

TV Republika published today the so-called “Tusk tapes” – recordings that could send shockwaves through the political scene. The released snippet of a conversation involving Roman Giertych and Donald Tusk dates back to 2019.

What do these tapes reveal? “Contempt for the people, for the nation,” commented PiS MP Michał Wójcik on TV Republika.

“Residents of Radom and eastern Greater Poland heard a few bitter – and obviously untrue – remarks about themselves. Those in power speak about people in a contemptuous manner,” Wójcik pointed out.

The opposition politician noted that Donald Tusk was closer to Giertych than previously thought. He also drew attention to another part of the conversation: “The bit about that German – where they were one-upping each other over who was more German! That, to use their own language, is simply unbelievable,” he said.

“If something like that happened in a Western European country, the Prime Minister would resign. Because he should resign after something like this,” the PiS MP emphasized.

“What should a decent politician do in a situation like this? Simply apologize to the people. But Donald Tusk isn’t capable of that. This is the core of Tusk’s problem – he will try to stay silent about it,” Michał Wójcik stressed.
