Sikorski Crosses Another Line. He Mocks Donald Trump’s Letter to President Nawrocki

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski publicly mocked Donald Trump’s letter to Karol Nawrocki. “The current government team is dragging Poland in a dramatic direction,” commented Stanisław Żaryn.

The Polish Press Agency, which is being liquidated, published a false statement by U.S. President Donald Trump, attributing words to him that he never said. Earlier, the Polish Embassy in the United States, headed by Bogdan Klich, had received Trump’s letter to President Karol Nawrocki—but instead of reaching its intended recipient, the letter ended up in… pro-government media. The head of the presidential cabinet reminded of this today.

“First, the embarrassing act of handing over to the media information about President Trump’s letter, now the government news agency is spreading disinformation regarding the U.S. President’s remarks about our security. Unfortunately, the government spokesman is further amplifying it. At a time when there’s fire all around Poland, the government is doing much to damage our allied relations. Sadly, they are no longer using matches but a flamethrower—disinformation,” wrote Szefernaker.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski reacted to this post, mocking the American leader’s letter to President Karol Nawrocki. “What’s embarrassing is getting excited over a note with thanks for gifts and greetings to the First Lady,” the minister wrote.

Stanisław Żaryn, former adviser to the President of Poland and formerly the government’s plenipotentiary for the Security of the Republic’s Information Space, responded to Sikorski’s remark.

“Our brave foreign minister publicly mocks a letter from the President of the United States to the President of Poland. If this continues, Radosław Sikorski will be chased away with sticks even from outside the White House. The current government team is dragging Poland in a dramatic direction,” Żaryn wrote.
