Smear Campaign Targets Poland’s First Lady

No sooner had Donald Tusk publicly defended his family – even though no one had attacked them – than media outlets sympathetic to him continued to fuel an atmosphere of hostility toward the family of President Karol Nawrocki. This time, the so-called “journalists” have set their sights on the First Lady. “A smear operation is beginning,” wrote Jan Molski.

Following the ruthless attacks on Karol Nawrocki’s family during the election campaign, a new wave of hostility has returned, taking the form of publications intended to turn Poles against the President and the First Lady.

“What was her role in the matter of Mr. Jerzy’s studio apartment? Did she mind her husband’s acquaintances from the criminal underworld? Did she complete her university studies? Why was she not promoted within the National Revenue Administration? What else do we not know about Marta Nawrocka?” asks a magazine marked by a rainbow symbol in its logo.

“The Secrets of Marta Nawrocka” is the cover headline of Newsweek Polska. The content? As usual – insinuations, suggestions, and speculation.

“Ready, set, go! We are launching another installment,” briefly commented Joachim Brudziński on the publication.

“A smear operation against the First Lady is beginning, aimed once again at striking President Nawrocki in a repulsive manner. It deceptively resembles the hatred factory that was created around PLK,” Jan Molski wrote on X.
