    Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Under the patronage and participation of the First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, the annual charitable event “Choinki Jedynki” organized by Program 1 of Polish Radio is underway, bringing festive cheer and a spirit of giving.

    Tradition of Unity and Generosity
The event, a cherished tradition, not only marks the beginning of Christmas celebrations but also underscores the remarkable power of uniting people for a charitable cause. Agata Kornhauser-Duda emphasizes the importance of paying attention to those facing difficulties during the holiday season.

    Unique Auction Items
This year, the First Lady has contributed two intricately crafted decoupage Christmas tree pendants for auction, each telling a unique story. The retro-style pendant in red and ecru hues depicts a Christmas tree on one side and a wintry scene with Santa Claus on the other. The second pendant, in shades of gray and blue, features a clock counting down to Christmas or New Year and, on the reverse, the titular Christmas tree. Both items carry heartfelt wishes from the First Lady.

    Encouraging Generosity
Agata Kornhauser-Duda encourages listeners of Program 1 to be generous in the auctions. She expresses gratitude to representatives from the realms of culture, music, sports, and science for their involvement in this noble initiative.

    Artistic Collaboration for a Cause
Today, various friends of Program 1 of Polish Radio gathered to create artworks for the 22nd edition of the charity initiative. The proceeds from the auction will support the Anna Dymna Foundation “Mimo wszystko” and the “Wspólnota Nadziei” Foundation.
