Strong words from Kaczyński: We need to ask which animal Mr. Kierwiński can be compared to

“Although the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) claims that we are hyenas, this is something that shows what kind of authority we are dealing with. If defending women amounts to behaving like a hyena, then one should ask which animal Mr. Kierwiński can be compared to,” Jarosław Kaczyński said in response to the interior minister’s reaction to the opposition’s actions regarding the clarification of the rape case in the capital’s police force.

Yesterday, TV Republika revealed that the District Court in Piaseczno had remanded one of the superiors of the capital’s police riot units in custody for three months. The officer was charged with raping a young policewoman and forcing her to submit to another sexual act. The information was confirmed to TV Republika journalists by the spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, prosecutor Antoni Skiba. The scandal allegedly occurred during an alcohol-fueled drinking binge at the company level.

Asked today about the matter in the Sejm corridor, the leader of Law and Justice (PiS), Jarosław Kaczyński, confirmed that PiS was already taking action – a parliamentary inspection had taken place and the opposition would demand explanations.

“Although the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) claims that we are hyenas, this is something that shows what kind of authority we are dealing with. If defending women amounts to behaving like a hyena, then one should ask which animal Mr. Kierwiński can be compared to,” said Jarosław Kaczyński.

The words about “hyenas” were spoken during Wednesday’s interview with Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24. “I see, especially on the so-called right-wing side, how various kinds of hyenas are trying to exploit this case politically,” said the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA).
