Successful Communication Established with EagleEye Satellite

EagleEye satellite successfully communicates with Earth; mission progresses to testing and calibration for high-resolution Earth observation.

Creotech announced the successful first phase of the EagleEye satellite mission on Saturday in a significant achievement for Poland’s space industry. Engineers have established communication with the satellite, confirming that all received parameters are within expected norms, signaling readiness for the next steps in the mission.

    Mission Overview

The EagleEye satellite, launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket on Friday, reached a stable orbit approximately 510 km above Earth. Creotech Instruments SA, the mission’s leader, successfully integrated the satellite’s platform, HyperSat, which houses all critical components. Initial operations have gone smoothly, paving the way for further advancements in the mission.

    Next Steps: Testing and Calibration

The team will now focus on testing and calibrating the satellite’s subsystems in actual space conditions, crucial for full operational readiness. Once operational, EagleEye’s optical telescope, developed by Scanway SA, will capture high-resolution Earth images in visible and near-infrared spectra. This groundbreaking project was realized in collaboration with the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
