Do you remember Judge Szczepaniec? Yesterday, she was interrogated at the National Prosecutor’s Office in connection with an investigation into “impersonating” a Supreme Court judge. At the same time, Mr. Bodnar was spewing nonsense about “creating space for dialogue,” writes Supreme Court Judge, Professor Kamil Zaradkiewicz.
Today, the news portal niezalezna.pl revealed that Supreme Court Judge Maria Szczepaniec was summoned for questioning by the prosecution on the very same day she asked Adam Bodnar in the Supreme Court whether he “feels like a neo-senator.” “It was four hours of brutal, oppressive attacks,” the judge said of the interrogation. In her view, this was a form of repression.
Parts of the judicial and legal community have expressed outrage at the situation.
“At the same time, Mr. Bodnar is talking nonsense about ‘room for discussion’ and ‘dialogue,’” notes Prof. Kamil Zaradkiewicz, Supreme Court judge.
“Incomprehensible!” wrote Judge Jakub Iwaniec.
