Swiatek immediately took control of the match, breaking her rival in the opening set and repeating it in the third game to establish a solid lead. However, she experienced a momentary lapse after a strong start, making numerous errors and allowing her rival to level the score at 3:3.
Regaining her focus, Swiatek built on solid points, showcasing excellent footwork and precise positioning to win the next two games. Within minutes, she closed out the set with a score of 6:4.
The second set mirrored the first, with Swiatek starting strong by earning a breakpoint and leading 3:0. In the fourth game, she successfully defended against three break points, securing not only that game but also the following two games.
