Szefernaker Highlights Nawrocki’s First Month in Office: Promises Kept

The guest of the program “Ewa Bugała – Everything Clear” was Paweł Szefernaker, Head of the Cabinet of President Karol Nawrocki. The presidential minister summarised the first month of Karol Nawrocki’s presidency and also commented on Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s stance.

The First Month of the Presidency in the Minister’s Summary

The host asked her guest how he would summarise the first month of President Karol Nawrocki’s work.

“A month of kept promises. The President ran his campaign with a concrete program and clear commitments. We spoke about this presidency being dynamic and active, one where the guiding principle of all actions would be ‘Poland first, Poles first.’ I think that even those who do not entirely agree with us politically would find it hard to argue that the President is not active, hardworking, and carrying out his program,”

said Paweł Szefernaker.

Ewa Bugała also asked about foreign visits, especially the most important one to the United States. He said the conversation with President Donald Trump was very good. He reminded that the White House host invited Poland to the G20 summit, which will take place in 2026 in Florida. Equally significant, he stressed, was Trump’s declaration not only to refrain from withdrawing American troops from Poland but potentially to increase the U.S. contingent on Polish territory.

Critical of Tusk

The host also sought her guest’s reaction to Donald Tusk’s comment that “we also know how President Trump tends to conduct himself during such visits (…) so I didn’t have any particular expectations that anything major or concrete would be accomplished there.”

“Prime Minister Tusk’s approach has led to a situation where today the Polish government administration practically has no contact or relationship with the administration of Donald Trump, the President of the United States. This is what foreign policy under Donald Tusk looks like. I am not surprised that the Prime Minister expects little from the President, since he doesn’t even set high standards for himself,”

said the presidential minister.
