On a section of railway tracks under renovation near Ostrów Wielkopolski, technicians discovered so-called blank rifle cartridges. The police suspect it may have been a provocation and “an attempt to test the reaction of the services”.
Less than a week after two acts of sabotage in eastern Poland, carried out by Ukrainian citizens inspired by Russian services, a mysterious discovery was made in Greater Poland.
The police secured the tracks and are examining the site where the so-called blank rifle cartridges were found. They were detected by technical employees of Polish State Railways (PKP), who passed the information on to the officers.
Provocation?
According to the Greater Poland police, the act is “a provocation” and “an attempt to test the reaction of the services”. – “Our special investigative team is already working on-site. We will find the perpetrator of this incident”, assured junior inspector Andrzej Borowiak, spokesperson for the Greater Poland police.
