Telewizja Republika was the most-watched news channel in Poland in May 2026, according to the latest report by the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT). The station overtook TVN24 and climbed to fifth place among all television channels in the country. Strong viewership figures were also recorded by its flagship news program Dzisiaj, whose most popular edition attracted more than 700,000 viewers.
According to the KRRiT report on television audience ratings, Polsat remained the leader of the overall television market in May, with an average minute audience of 336,000 viewers. TVN ranked second, followed by TVP1 and TVP2.
The most significant changes, however, were recorded in the news channel segment. Telewizja Republika returned to the top position, achieving an average minute audience of 282,660 viewers and a market share of 5.8 percent. This represented a rise from sixth place the previous month and allowed the station to surpass TVN24.
TVN24 recorded an average minute audience of 237,742 viewers, translating into a 4.9 percent market share. Behind the two largest news channels were TVP Info, wPolsce24, and Polsat News.
Republika’s strong performance was also reflected in the ranking of the most-watched news programs. The May 11 edition of Dzisiaj attracted more than 700,000 viewers, placing it among the month’s most popular news broadcasts.
The highest audience for an individual news program edition was achieved by Fakty. Its May 13 broadcast was watched by nearly 2 million viewers. The next positions were taken by 19.30 on TVP1, Wydarzenia on Polsat, and Teleexpress.
