The campaign “Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” has been launched. Check out what it involves! [DETAILS]

“Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” – this is the name of the latest campaign by the House of Free Speech (DWS). Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of Gazeta Polska and president of TV Republika, explained precisely what this form of protest by supporters of our media against the actions of Donald Tusk’s government is meant to involve.

“Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” is a humorous yet serious response by Tomasz Sakiewicz to the actions taken by the 13 December coalition against TV Republika. It is a campaign opposing the attempts by Donald Tusk’s team to silence free media.

It all began on Friday, when, on the orders of Donald Tusk, part of the Sejm proceedings was placed under a secrecy clause. Later, the portal Niezalezna.pl revealed that during the secret sitting of the chamber, the head of government spoke, among other things, about the sponsorship of CPAC Poland by Zondacrypto. Relying on absurd speculations, Tusk is also said to have mentioned TV Republika several times.

After the classified part of the Sejm session ended, opposition MPs clearly stated that they had no doubt that the president of Republika, Tomasz Sakiewicz, “is being surveilled by the services”. “Today, special services are being used for political warfare”, said PiS MP Bartosz Kownacki in an interview with the station’s reporter. Therefore – it is time for a response. And that response is the action “Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz”.

“Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” – what is this action about?

The head of TV Republika explained the idea today while opening his weekly Sunday programme Political Coffee (Polityczna Kawa). In short – this is about something serious: continuing to support the House of Free Speech (DWS).

I decided to launch a campaign in the media I manage, addressing the government’s recent actions. Let us remember – regardless of the humorous dimension this campaign may take, Republika faces a serious threat. Recent actions indicate that the government is not only surveilling us, but also aims to liquidate Republika, to strike at us legally, financially, technically – on every level. We know about this. We know how many actions have been taken and how enormous the resources invested to destroy us, discredit us, shut us down, block us. And only thanks to your support can we continue to exist – explained Tomasz Sakiewicz.

He also referred to the recent actions of Donald Tusk’s government, which resulted in, among other things… a photo of Sakiewicz taken in a restaurant. Although the matter was trivial, both the representatives of the 13 December coalition and the media supporting them tried to sniff out “a major scandal”.

And the recent scenes, indeed, when they sent powerful teams after me – to follow me, to see who, where and why I was talking to… A huge financial and organisational effort that ended with a photo of me drinking coffee in a foreign restaurant, shows that there is a very humorous side to this story. That is why we decided to respond to the government’s demands. Let us respond en masse: support the government, spy on Sakiewicz – said the head of Republika.

So what exactly will the campaign “Support the Government, Spy on Sakiewicz” involve? It is simpler than it may seem.

Every time you see me on Republika’s broadcast, please signal that you’ve noticed me. Ideally – by supporting us, for example via the QR code, even with a small donation including the note: “I’m spying on Sakiewicz”. It’s worth giving the time and place where you saw me – or the programme. Then we will have this knowledge and will be grateful that you are watching and supporting us. The same applies to other media, e.g. I bought Gazeta Polska – I’m spying on Sakiewicz. I am everywhere available. I am the simplest object of surveillance. All you need to do is turn on TV Republika. There is no need to send planes, specialist equipment or all those members of the Olsen gang. To “discredit” me, they decided to forge an invoice so incompetently that even artificial intelligence can detect it – he pointed out.

The editor-in-chief of Gazeta Polska also addressed our portal’s findings regarding the issues discussed during the secret part of Friday’s Sejm sitting.

“What is more, Donald Tusk devoted two hours of the secret meeting to discussing a bill that was meant to attack us, the President of the Republic of Poland, and one of our advertisers. The problem is that this bill was beneficial for him, and the president’s veto was not beneficial. He probably did not understand the content of this very extensive bill. The government’s embarrassment is very difficult to hide. Now they will do everything to cover it up with aggressive actions” – he assessed.

Well, we have to support them. Let’s join the campaign. Just as during the occupation, just as under communism – let us respond with humour. Let us show what we think of the thugs who feel uncomfortable with free media, who must surveil them, break the law, violate fundamental human rights. Let this be our campaign: support the government, spy on Sakiewicz – he appealed.
