The District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw has decided to question members of Barbara Skrzypek’s family, as reported by the Niezależna.pl portal. We have confirmed this information with the prosecutor’s office spokesperson.
“There were plans to question family members regarding the case. I don’t have further details. […] The interrogations were scheduled to take place this afternoon,” prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba told us.
Barbara Skrzypek was questioned as a witness on Wednesday by prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek, attorney Jacek Dubois, and a representative of Roman Giertych’s law firm in a case concerning the so-called “two towers.” She passed away on Saturday.
Today, Skrzypek’s legal representative described the events of March 12. Attorney Krzysztof Gotkowicz stated that he was not allowed to be present during the interrogation, despite raising concerns about her poor health.
It has now come to light that the prosecutor’s office had (or still has?) plans to question… members of the late Barbara Skrzypek’s family.
“There were plans to question family members regarding the case. I don’t have further details. Specific individuals were to be questioned about her medical treatment and whether they demand an autopsy. The interrogations were scheduled to take place this afternoon,” prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba stated.
He added that these interrogations were planned as part of a preliminary inquiry following the prosecutor’s office receiving information about Barbara Skrzypek’s death.
