‘I hope he doesn’t say anything silly in Tanzania; it would be a shame for the whole jungle,’ wrote Michał Szczerba, a member of the Civic Coalition, on the X platform. He commented on the controversial statement by the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, to the Zero Channel on the Internet about Ukraine reclaiming territories occupied by Russia.
President Duda begins an official visit to Africa, and the comment was made by MP Szczerba in reference to this trip.
He is a member of the Parliamentary Commission on Justice and Human Rights, tasked with fighting racism.
MP Szczerba’s post on X sparked a media storm in Poland. He is now being called a racist. Michał Szczerba deleted his comment after the scandal erupted.
