Six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine-year-old Alice Aguiar — these are the victims of a ruthless murderer. At the time of the crime, Alex Rudakubana was still a minor. He is currently serving a prison sentence, and guards describe him as the most dangerous inmate in the United Kingdom.
The unexpected tragedy occurred in July 2024 in Southport. Then 17-year-old Alex Rudakubana, a Welsh-born descendant of Rwandan immigrants, stormed into a dance class and attacked the young girls with a knife. Many people were injured, and three of them — the young girls — died from their wounds.
The perpetrator turned out to be a remorseless monster. Upon arrest, he reportedly told officers, “I’m glad the girls are dead.” A search of his home revealed, among other things, ricin in quantities sufficient to poison over 10,000 people, as well as weapons. Rudakubana had long been fascinated by mass killings and the activities of Al-Qaeda.
He was sentenced to 52 years in prison. The judge made it clear that under current law, Rudakubana will not be eligible for parole before completing the full sentence.
A Highly Dangerous Criminal
Prison guards, speaking to the British outlet The Sun, described the current conditions of Rudakubana’s incarceration at Belmarsh Prison.
“Rudakubana is pure evil,” said one of the guards.
All indications point to him being the most dangerous inmate in the UK.
Now 18 years old, the convicted criminal is only allowed out of his cell under the escort of five officers in riot gear. He has no access to computers or the internet, a restriction typically reserved for inmates convicted of terrorism-related offenses. These measures were introduced after Rudakubana attempted to attack guards by throwing boiling water from a kettle.
Prison staff say he shows no remorse and that rehabilitation is not a realistic possibility.
There are recordings of him threatening officers with death or yelling things like “I’ll smash your face in” and “Allahu Akbar.”
He has been compared to Charles Bronson, who has spent more than half a century behind bars in various British prisons. Bronson is regarded as “one of the most violent prisoners” in British legal history and has become something of a “celebrity convict.”
