The Director General of the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR), Henryk Smolarz, announced that the plot of land in Zabłotnia, located near Central Communication Port (CPK), will be returned for its original purchase price.
Meeting at the KOWR headquarters regarding the plot for CPK
On Wednesday, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) with representatives of the institution, including the owner of the plot in Zabłotnia, Dawtona’s vice president Piotr Wielgomas, concerning the recovery of the property by the State Treasury, needed for Central Communication Port (CPK). Smolarz said after the meeting, “There will be, to put it colloquially, a return of the property for the price that was paid in the original notarial deed. Mr. Piotr (Wielgomas) is waiving all claims regarding improvements, so it is solely and exclusively a return of the property for the original purchase price,” he said after the meeting.
Last week, Wirtualna Polska reported that in 2023, shortly before Law and Justice (PiS) left power, the Ministry of Agriculture granted permission for KOWR to sell a 160-hectare plot to Dawtona’s vice president, Piotr Wielgomas. The high-speed rail line from Warsaw to the Central Communication Port (CPK) is to run through that land. According to the portal, in 2023, but before the transaction was finalized, the then Minister of Agriculture, Robert Telus, visited the Dawtona company.
Ultimately, the sale transaction, valued at 22.8 million PLN, was concluded on December 1, 2023, shortly before Law and Justice (PiS) left power.
