“They Tried to Intimidate Us.” Patriots Organized Outside the Venue They Were Denied at the Last Minute

Patriots do not break! Where others want padlocks and censorship, we bring the truth about Poland’s security out into the open air, reads a post on the Border Defense Movement’s profile. The planned meeting with Robert Bąkiewicz turned into a spontaneous gathering.

A few days earlier, the Gazeta Polska Clubs had announced an open meeting with the leader of the Border Defense Movement, Robert Bąkiewicz. It was scheduled for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in a conference room at the “Vulcan” Hotel in Szczecin.

As Bąkiewicz reported just a few hours before the meeting, “the person who rented the room for the meeting was harassed and intimidated. He was threatened with the hotel being set on fire and property being destroyed.” According to activists from the Border Defense Movement, the room reservation was canceled.

Despite the low temperature, participants of the canceled meeting organized a spontaneous gathering in front of the building.

“They wanted to silence us, they wanted to intimidate us — THEY MISJUDGED US!” was posted on X.

“Scandalous pressure and an attempt to block the venue came to nothing. When they closed the doors in front of us, a spontaneous assembly formed. Patriots do not break! Where others want padlocks and censorship, we bring the truth about Poland’s security out into the open air,” the statement reads.
