“This is not only a matter of Poland’s security, this is a matter of the security of this part of Europe,” said former President Andrzej Duda in Sulejów, speaking about the Central Airport. He conveyed that NATO army generals had emphasized to him the importance of building such a large airport in Poland. He stressed that this investment would also be an important element in strengthening our country’s position.
He pointed out that “our territory – the only territory in this area that has strategic depth – is a guarantor of security for the Baltic states and a large part of the eastern flank.”
“And this is no joke. This is not only a matter of Poland’s security, this is a matter of the security of this part of Europe,” he emphasized.
He noted that such an airport also matters for building Poland’s position in this part of the continent, something that for years had been advanced through initiatives such as B9 and the Three Seas Initiative. “In each of these cases we are the largest country, and in each of these cases we are the central country. Therefore, our position, and thus our importance for the interests of this part of Europe, is obvious. We should use this, because it is a huge opportunity for us to build Poland’s position,” he declared.
“If we add to this what President Karol Nawrocki also secured from President Donald Trump – that was the most beautiful music I had heard recently (because I knew that President Donald Trump not only would not withdraw American units from Poland, but was ready to continue talking about the actual realization of this Fort Trump in Poland) […] but the fact that he said we would be invited to the G20 meeting, that the president would be a guest at the G20 meeting […] this has fundamental significance,” he noted.
Former President Andrzej Duda, speaking at the 11th Congress of the Gazeta Polska Clubs in Sulejów, referred to key investments that were launched during the rule of United Right and are now being blocked. Among them he mentioned the nuclear power plant in American technology and the Central Airport – an element of the Central Communication Port (CPK). Referring to the latter, he pointed out its immense importance not only for Poland.
“I spoke with American generals, as well as generals from other NATO armies, and their opinion was absolutely unequivocal – only a large airport, which will have enormous capacity to receive the largest aircraft, which will have logistical and transshipment capacity to handle massive transports of weapons infrastructure supplies, is able to strengthen our security in the event of potential Russian aggression against any part of Central Europe or the eastern flank of NATO.”
