In 2023, Donald Tusk suggested that Donald Trump was a Russian agent. A year later, he claimed he had never said such words. On Friday, however, the head of Civic Platform declared that he does not regret having spoken those words about the president of the world’s greatest power.
Tusk’s Harmful Words
In 2023, at a meeting with voters in Bytom, he stated that Donald Trump might have been recruited by Russian intelligence services.
“Trump and his dependence on Russian intelligence are no longer subject to debate. This is not my assumption; it is the result of an American investigation,”
said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
A year later, the leader of Civic Platform declared that “he had never made any suggestions regarding Donald Trump.”
On Friday, a journalist from TV Republika asked Donald Tusk whether, in the context of poor relations between the Polish government and the Trump administration, he regretted his words about Trump.
“I do not regret any words I have ever spoken in my life. I do not complain about the relations between the Polish government and the Washington administration,”
said the Prime Minister of Poland.
