The government of Donald Tusk is continuing its attack on TV Republika and the Independent Media Foundation. “TV Republika is changing the entity and bank account numbers used to support us financially, because the ones used until now are under attack by Minister Szłapka’s superiors, the Tusk government, Bodnar’s affiliates, and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister,” said Michał Rachoń today. The intensified attack by Donald Tusk’s government on TV Republika and the media of the Free Speech Zone continues. In recent days, government spokesman Adam Szłapka announced that he would “refer the matter to the relevant authorities” after a statement by TV Republika journalist Miłosz Kłeczek concerning the transport of migrants into Poland. According to Szłapka, charges should be brought under the article on espionage.
“The government spokesman publicly states that a comment on the policy carried out by himself, his government, and his boss in cooperation with German services constitutes espionage. Espionage not committed by those cooperating with foreign agencies to bring illegal migrants into Poland, but by us, those who report and comment on these actions. This is a brazen act, an attempt to intimidate TV Republika, our journalists, and our viewers. We will not succumb to these efforts, which are occurring simultaneously with attacks on the financial foundations of our station. These days, TV Republika and the foundation funding our operations are under attack by the same government,”

Rachoń added that TV Republika is changing the entity and account numbers through which financial support is made, because the existing ones are “under attack by Minister Szłapka’s superiors, the Tusk government, Bodnar’s associates, and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.”
“Bodnar’s associates have attacked the Independent Media Foundation, which supports TV Republika. They want to block the foundation’s accounts in order to seize the funds you have provided for the development of TV Republika,” the station said in a promotional spot.
