“The Germans must understand that they must face the consequences of World War II. That the Polish nation, in the recent elections won by Karol Nawrocki, has declared: enough submission, enough kneeling — we are rising and fighting for our own interests,” said Robert Bąkiewicz during a protest in front of the German embassy in Warsaw.
The Border Defence Movement, led by Robert Bąkiewicz, held a demonstration today outside the German embassy in Warsaw.
“We have gathered here under the slogan: Take your governor back to Berlin, which sends a clear message — we do not want Donald Tusk’s leadership any longer. A leadership backed by Berlin and Brussels. We want a sovereign, independent, and strong state. We do not want a country where Germans tell us how we should behave, or where Germans dictate to us what the rule of law and democracy are. From this place today, we say clearly: we do not accept this,”
Bąkiewicz stated, reiterating the protest’s central message. He added, “Take your wheelbarrows and carry your governor, your servant — back to Berlin!”
“We Demand Tusk’s Resignation!”
Bąkiewicz continued: “From this place, we want to send a message to everyone watching us: come and join us — let’s turn this into a great independence picnic. Let’s show the Germans that we reject both their policies and those of Donald Tusk. We demand his resignation. We demand a change in the direction of Polish foreign policy. And we also demand reparations from Germany!”
The gathered crowd began chanting loudly: “Reparations!”
Rumors have emerged that Donald Tusk is quietly shelving the issue of reparations and is prepared to compromise Poland’s interests. From this place, we tell the Germans that the Polish nation will never agree to this. Any actions taken by Tusk in this matter will not have legal force. Individuals like him, and those close to him, will stand before a Polish court and be held accountable for treason,” Bąkiewicz declared.
He later reiterated: “The Germans must understand that they must face the consequences of World War II. That the Polish nation, through the recent election of Karol Nawrocki, has spoken: enough submission, enough kneeling — we are rising and fighting for our own interests.”
At this, the protesters began chanting: “Karol! Karol!”
