Donald Tusk keeps telling Poles that he won’t implement the EU’s controversial Migration Pact. Sounds reassuring, right? But here’s the problem—he doesn’t have a choice. The Pact isn’t something countries can opt in or out of. It’s made up of EU regulations that automatically apply across all member states, including Poland.
So when Tusk says, “Don’t worry, we’re not implementing it,” he might as well be saying, “Don’t worry, we’ll land on Mars before SpaceX.” Because both are equally ridiculous.
That’s exactly what PiS MEP Patryk Jaki pointed out in a video posted on X. He’s calling out Tusk’s blatant dishonesty, and frankly, it’s hard to argue with him.
If We’re Not Taking Migrants, Why Are We Building 49 Migrant Centers?
Here’s where things get even worse. If Tusk’s government isn’t preparing for a wave of migrants, why is it setting up 49 migrant centers across Poland?
Jaki asks the obvious question:
“If they’re not implementing the Migration Pact, why did they approve these centers? Why are they being built right now?”
You don’t build migrant centers if you’re not expecting migrants. It’s as simple as that.
Tusk’s Allies in Brussels Forced This on Poland
And let’s not forget who’s behind all of this. Tusk’s own political family in Brussels—the European People’s Party (EPP)—was the one that drafted the Migration Pact and forced it through.
Jaki breaks it down:
“Tusk’s party—EPP—pushed this Pact through the European Parliament. Then, their judges at the European Court of Justice changed the rules so that Poland couldn’t even veto it, even though the EU treaties clearly say unanimous approval is required.”
So not only is Tusk not stopping this Pact, but his people made sure Poland had no way to resist it.
Remember What Tusk Said Before?
Now, let’s take a trip down memory lane. When PiS was in power, Tusk was singing a very different tune.
Jaki reminds us:
• “Tusk said Poland must take in migrants because ‘these are poor people, we have to help.’”
• “His MEPs voted for sanctions against Poland when we refused to accept them.”
• “They even voted against building a border wall to stop illegal crossings.”
But now that the elections are coming, and he knows Poles don’t want this, he’s pretending it’s not happening.
They’re Hoping You Don’t Notice Until It’s Too Late
Jaki spells out the strategy:
“They saw the polls. They know Poles don’t want mass migration. So now, they’re lying through their teeth, hoping they can sneak this through after the elections.”
This isn’t about protecting Poland. It’s about protecting their own power.
Poles, Are You Still Buying This?
At the end of his video, Jaki asks a simple but crucial question:
“Now that you know the truth, do you still believe them?”
