Reports from political circles are spreading more and more widely. Information about Donald Tusk’s alleged attempts to prevent Karol Nawrocki from being sworn in as President of Poland is now even being reported by TVN journalists.
Various media outlets are informing their audiences about a development that constitutes an extremely dangerous move for the integrity of the Polish state. Donald Tusk is said to have made a proposal to Szymon Hołownia to participate in what would effectively be a coup d’état. The Speaker of the Sejm reportedly refused to take part in the effort to block Karol Nawrocki’s swearing-in as President of Poland.
Names of other coalition members allegedly involved in this unlawful scheme are also being mentioned in parliamentary backrooms.
These reports were also covered by TVN journalists. Arleta Zalewska confirmed that she had heard about Donald Tusk pressuring Szymon Hołownia. The proposal was reportedly made multiple times, but each time, the leader of Poland 2050 is said to have unequivocally refused. “The answer was ‘no’ from the leader of the Left and the leader of the PSL as well,” added the journalist.
She was echoed by Andrzej Morozowski, who cautioned that these are merely rumours. He added that the Speaker of the Sejm allegedly threatened to break up the coalition.
