TV Republika was the most popular channel in the news programme segment in December 2025, according to data from the National Broadcasting Council.
Last month, Republika attracted an average of 286.4 thousand viewers, overtaking TVN 24, which was watched by an average of 241.9 thousand people. That is not the end of the good news for the House of Free Speech.
“On a year-on-year basis, TV Republika increased its viewership by more than 10.5 thousand viewers and its market share by 0.4 percentage points, while TVN24 recorded a decline of 58,209 viewers (a lower market share by 0.8 percentage points),” we read in the National Broadcasting Council report.
How was the study conducted?
“The data presented in the report were compiled on the basis of results from the AGB Nielsen Media Research study. They include a list of the 20 television programmes with the largest audiences, a ranking of news programmes, and the 20 news broadcasts with the highest viewership in December 2025. In the case of recurring broadcasts, the edition with the highest audience was taken into account. The analysis used the following indicators: AMR (Average Minute Rating) – the average minute viewership of a broadcast or programme, and SHR% (Audience Share) – the percentage share of viewers of a given programme among all people watching television at that time,” informs the National Broadcasting Council.
