In a significant move, Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party (PiS), has unveiled the initial question that the United Right coalition plans to pose to the Polish public in a nationwide referendum. The coalition, which includes PiS, has embarked on a series of announcements via its Facebook page, with subsequent questions set to be revealed on August 12th, 13th, and 14th.

As per the party’s announcements, it is confirmed that one of the questions will address Poland’s stance on mandatory migrant relocation. The Polish Parliament, or Sejm, is expected to deliberate on the referendum proposal on August 17th during an additional two-day session commencing on August 16th. This referendum is intended to coincide with the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 15th, as announced by President Andrzej Duda.

The first unveiled question reads, “Do you support the privatization of state-owned enterprises?” This query marks the beginning of a crucial public discourse in Poland, highlighting the government’s focus on economic policies and its commitment to involving citizens in decision-making processes.

With the referendum promising to shape Poland’s future trajectory, the nation awaits further revelations and debates on the proposed questions, reflecting a pivotal moment in its democratic journey.
