The saga began on a fateful New Year’s Eve in 1996/1997, in the small town of Miłoszyce, where a 15-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered. The Strzelin Prison Facility became his unwelcome home for 18 harrowing years, during which the specter of despair drove him to the brink of suicide on three occasions.
