URGENT: Government Reshuffle Delayed

At the request of Szymon Hołownia, the government reshuffle has been postponed to July 22 — this information was shared today by Left party leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty. This marks a significant change, as Prime Minister Donald Tusk had previously announced July 15 as the date for presenting the new cabinet.

According to interia.pl, Hołownia reportedly asked for the delay in order to ease tensions within the ruling coalition and resolve internal conflicts.

Czarzasty emphasized that the Speaker’s request was accepted by the other coalition leaders, stating that “everyone has the right to get things in order.”

He also noted that before July 22, there will “definitely be one more meeting” of the coalition leaders. “We haven’t agreed on the exact date yet,” he added. When asked whether there were still any issues left to settle, he replied, “No, we already have some details worked out.”

On Tuesday, the Speaker of the Sejm announced that he would urge coalition partners to conclude negotiations on the government reshuffle before the Sejm session scheduled for July 23–25. In his view, that timeline is more realistic than the previously suggested July 15 date by Prime Minister Tusk.
