“We call on all employees to return home and remain sheltered in place. We recommend that all Americans do the same until further notice,” the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait stated in an official alert.
Iran has struck United States forces deployed across multiple directions. Among the targets were bases in Kuwait. A video has been published online from Ali Al Salem Air Base showing the interception of an Iranian missile.
In light of the military actions, the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait issued a public statement.
“The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait calls on all Mission personnel to return home and remain sheltered in place. We recommend that all Americans do the same until further notice,” the statement said.
The embassy recommended the following actions:
- Find a safe location at your residence. Stock up on food, water, medications, and other essential supplies.
- Follow local and international media for updates.
- Current security alerts are available on the embassy’s website.
- Remain vigilant.
- Follow instructions from local authorities.
- Contact your airline directly for detailed information regarding flight changes if your flight is affected.
- Charge your phone and maintain contact with family and friends to inform them of your status.
