Veteran’s Day and a new allowance to injured veterans

A law was passed yesterday enabling the payment of an allowance to injured veterans, including those still on active service. PM Mariusz Błaszczak expressed his conviction that anyone who has sacrificed their health in the service of Poland deserves help.

The Sejm has adopted a bill to amend the law on veterans, thanks to which every injured veteran, including active duty soldiers, will receive additional money – the veteran’s allowance. This is a response to the demands of veterans who have risked their health and lives to serve in missions.

The Ministry of Defence is extending comprehensive care and support to Polish veterans. In 2020, a new law on veterans introduced a number of additional solutions for veterans and their families, building an effective system of assistance and support.

Moreover, Veteran’s Day celebrations continue in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. It is an opportunity to take part in a military picnic, where you can get acquainted with the Polish army’s equipment or see elements of military base equipment. In addition, there is the opportunity to taste delicious military pea soup at the picnic.

During the Veteran’s Day celebrations in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, there will also be the conclusion of the 4th Veterans Motorcycle Rally to commemorate Polish soldiers and officers killed while serving outside their homeland.
