Vile Attacks on Nawrocki’s Daughter – Prosecutors Launch Investigation: “The Haters Will Be Severely Punished”

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw’s Mokotów district has launched a formal investigation into the public insult and online abuse of Kasia Nawrocka, following a report submitted by Law and Justice (PiS) MP Krzysztof Szczucki. “I will make sure that every single hater is severely punished,” he wrote on platform X.

Seven-year-old Kasia Nawrocka captured the hearts of millions during her father Karol Nawrocki’s election night celebration. Oblivious to the cameras and the crowd, she waved, sent heart signs, and cheerfully greeted the audience — drawing smiles both from those gathered on site and viewers across the country. No one could have predicted that this joyful child would become the target of an online hate campaign, reportedly orchestrated by sympathizers of the “Smiling Poland” movement.

Disturbingly, the backlash was swift and aggressive. One comment stood out for its sheer cruelty: a female internet user implied a grotesque fate for the girl — a remark so vile it cannot be quoted. The post triggered a strong reaction online, with users quickly identifying the woman, flooding her Facebook profile with condemnation. It was also discovered that she had previously supported Szymon Hołownia’s Poland 2050 movement and actively participated in hanging campaign banners. Yet, hers was just one of many similarly repugnant posts.

Legal action came swiftly. MP Krzysztof Szczucki, a partner at the Jabłoński Szczucki i Wspólnicy law firm, filed an official complaint with the prosecutor’s office. He has now published their response confirming the start of proceedings.

“The Secretariat of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw-Mokotów informs that, by order of the prosecutor dated June 25, 2025, an investigation has been launched into the public insult of the minor Katarzyna Nawrocka. Between June 1 and 5, 2025, at an unidentified location, via mass communication tools — specifically the Facebook platform — offensive posts and comments regarding her person were published. The case concerns a crime under Article 216 §1 and §2 of the Penal Code,” the statement reads.

The investigation is ongoing, with strong calls for accountability and legal consequences for those who weaponize social media to target children.
