How do Poles assess Donald Tusk as prime minister? According to the results of the latest United Surveys poll, opinions are divided – almost evenly. But does this really reflect well on the policies pursued by the current head of government?
Donald Tusk’s government does not enjoy positive reception among Polish society. This is evidenced by two recent polls. One of them, conducted by the Nationwide Research Group (OGB), showed that as many as 50.6 percent of respondents rated the Council of Ministers negatively. Far fewer – only 28.2 percent – expressed a positive opinion on this matter.
Similar conclusions emerged from a CBOS survey, which indicated that as many as 46 percent of Poles do not support Donald Tusk’s government. As the pollsters emphasized at the time, enthusiasm for the work of the Council of Ministers had never been so low.
How do Poles evaluate Tusk?
This time, another polling agency – United Surveys, commissioned by Wirtualna Polska, checked how Poles view Donald Tusk as prime minister. And although opinions are divided, almost evenly, this should hardly be a source of satisfaction for the main party concerned. According to the respondents’ declarations, 48.4 percent perceive the prime minister positively. However, only 15.9 percent opted for a “definitely positive” rating, which may suggest limited trust even among his supporters. Meanwhile, 32.5 percent described their attitude as “rather positive.“
On the other hand, the group of critics is just as strong – if not stronger. As many as 47.6 percent of respondents assessed Tusk negatively. Notably, the most frequently chosen answer in the entire survey was “definitely negative” – indicated by 33 percent of participants. Another 14.6 percent rated the prime minister’s actions as “rather negative.“
Only 4 percent of respondents were unable to clearly define their position.
The survey was conducted on September 13-15, 2025, using the CATI and CAWI methods on a representative sample of 1,000 adult Poles. It was carried out by United Surveys (in cooperation with IBRiS) on behalf of Wirtualna Polska.
