What do Poles think about Sikorski as Tusk’s successor?

Would replacing Donald Tusk with Radosław Sikorski as prime minister strengthen the coalition? Poles have spoken on the matter – with what result?

SW Research, commissioned by the portal rp.pl, asked whether replacing Donald Tusk with Radosław Sikorski as prime minister would increase the ruling coalition’s chances of staying in power.

35.9 percent of respondents supported the change. 40.9 percent disagreed, while 23.1 percent had no opinion on the matter.

Przemysław Wesołowski, president of the research agency SW Research, commenting on the survey results, said that “Nearly half of respondents with higher education (48 percent) and the same proportion of residents of cities with populations between 200,000 and 499,000 doubt that replacing Donald Tusk would have a positive impact. By age, this opinion is most common among respondents over 50 (45 percent),” explained Przemysław Wesołowski, president of the research agency SW Research, in Rzeczpospolita.

It is worth recalling that Radosław Sikorski became deputy prime minister during the latest government reshuffle in July of this year.
