What Fell on the House in Wyryki During the Russian Attack? Unofficially: It Was a Missile from a Norwegian Fighter Jet

It is still unclear what exactly fell on the house in Wyryki during the night of September 9–10, when Russian drones entered Polish airspace. According to the latest, albeit unofficial, findings by Radio Eska, it was a missile fired from a Norwegian F-35 fighter jet.

Last week, on September 16, Rzeczpospolita reported—based on its own sources—that the building in Wyryki-Wola in the Lublin region was struck by a missile launched by a Polish F-16. The missile was reportedly intended to shoot down a Russian drone. According to the outlet, the missile “had a guidance system malfunction.”

However, it has now come to light that the government did not inform the President of Poland about the incident, despite Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s assurances that he was in contact with the head of state. “The President emphasizes that he was not informed on this matter, nor was the National Security Bureau (BBN), and the issue was not presented or clarified at the National Security Council,” the BBN stated on Tuesday afternoon. The President has demanded explanations from the government regarding the matter.

What Fell on the House in Wyryki? Latest Information

New media findings have now surfaced. Journalists from Radio ESKA have shared the latest, though still unofficial, information.

According to their findings, the missile that struck the house in Wyryki in the Lublin region was not launched by a Polish F-16. Instead, it was reportedly a missile from a Norwegian F-35.

The radio station has already contacted the prosecutor’s office, which for now is not releasing any new information about the investigation, indicating that it is still in its early stages.

As a reminder: both allied and Polish aircraft were involved in efforts to shoot down Russian drones flying over Poland on the night of September 9–10. In addition to Norwegian fighter jets, Dutch F-35s were also involved.
