Who Are Nawrocki’s People? Meet the Team Behind the New President


Academics, administrators, but also MPs and career politicians – the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP) under Karol Nawrocki is set to be highly diverse. Who are his people? We present profiles of the key members of the new KPRP.

At 11:00 AM, President Karol Nawrocki appointed the new members of the Chancellery of the President, though information about its composition had been circulating earlier. That’s why we’ve prepared essential background on the professional and political experience – along with notable biographical facts – of each key figure.

Chief of the Chancellery of the President – Zbigniew Bogucki

Political and professional background: Law and Justice (PiS) MP (b. 1974) from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, actively involved in Karol Nawrocki’s 2025 presidential campaign. Between 2020 and 2023, he served as Voivode of West Pomerania. At one point, he was considered a potential presidential candidate for PiS. He resigned from parliament to take up his new role at KPRP.

Role in KPRP: Responsible for coordinating the office’s operations and implementing President Nawrocki’s agenda. His administrative and political experience make him a pivotal figure in the team.

“An experienced politician, lawyer, and seasoned public official of the Polish state – in our legislative initiatives and across the entire legislative cycle, Zbigniew Bogucki’s skills, heart, knowledge, and public support will be indispensable,” said the President.


Deputy Chief of the Chancellery – Adam Andruszkiewicz

Political and professional background: PiS MP of the 10th term of the Sejm (b. 1990). Member of PiS since 2015; formerly associated with Kukiz’15 and Wolni i Solidarni. Former president of All-Polish Youth (2015–2016) and head of the Endecja association (2016–2018). Served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Digital Affairs (2019–2020, 2023) and in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM, 2020–2023). Holds a degree in international relations from the University of Białystok. Managed Nawrocki’s online campaign in 2025.

Role in KPRP: Supports the Chief of the Chancellery, particularly in matters of communication and social media.

“He won’t just perform the duties of deputy chief – we’ve all seen that Adam Andruszkiewicz is not only well-connected to the digital world, but also to young people. These responsibilities will be entrusted to him. He is a man of values, hard work, and above all, a patriot who will ensure that future generations feel a sense of shared purpose close to the Presidential Palace,” stated Karol Nawrocki.


Chief of the President’s Cabinet – Paweł Szefernaker

Political and professional background: PiS MP (b. 1987), head of Karol Nawrocki’s 2025 campaign team. Between 2015 and 2023, served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, working closely with Mariusz Kamiński. Known for his organizational skills and campaign experience. Resigned from parliament to join KPRP.

Role in KPRP: Provides direct support to the President in daily duties and coordinates administrative and political activities.

“I’m glad that my collaboration with Paweł Szefernaker from the campaign period will continue at the Chancellery. This proves that you can fight for Polish freedom and democracy and continue that mission after the campaign noise fades. Paweł Szefernaker is a new-generation politician – very composed – and this calmness will be essential in his role as Chief of the Cabinet,” said Karol Nawrocki.


Deputy Chief of the President’s Cabinet – Jarosław Dębowski

Professional background: Former Director of the President’s Office at the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) during Karol Nawrocki’s tenure (since 2021). Limited public biographical information, but his IPN role indicates strong administrative experience.

Role in KPRP: Assists Szefernaker in organizing the President’s activities, likely with a focus on historical policy.

“Though the public may not yet realize it, he’s a man of immense hard work and great erudition. Without him, I probably wouldn’t be standing here today. He served Poland tirelessly at the Museum of the Second World War and IPN. I’m convinced he and Paweł Szefernaker will form the best duo in KPRP history,” said President Nawrocki.


Press Spokesperson of the Chancellery – Rafał Leśkiewicz

Professional background: Historian, manager, and publicist (b. 1977). Since 2021, spokesperson of IPN and director of its Press Office. Between 2010 and 2016, led the Office for Document Sharing and Archiving at IPN, and in 2016 was director of the Central Centre for Information Technology. Holds a PhD in history (2008), as well as postgraduate degrees in management and IT management. Decorated with the Gold Cross of Merit (2015), Bronze Cross of Merit (2009), and Centenary of Independence Medal (2020).

Role in KPRP: Manages media and public relations, shaping the President’s public image.

“You’ve seen Minister Leśkiewicz in the media – an outstanding IPN spokesperson, now stepping into new duties with full energy and determination. He’ll surely be the key liaison between the President, the Chancellery, and the media,” said the President.


Social Affairs and Intervention Advisor – Mateusz Kotecki

Professional background: Former Director of the Human Resources Office at IPN, with a background in HR management.

Role in KPRP: Responsible for social affairs and interventions, coordinating community initiatives and liaising with NGOs.

“I want a minister in KPRP focused on the concerns of ordinary Poles – like me, your President, and many of us. I want Mateusz Kotecki to be in charge of all social matters, handling the signals that come to the President from across the country, the concerns citizens believe unsolvable, but which might be resolved by the President or the political class. Minister Kotecki is proof that we’ll listen to our citizens for the next five years and treat all their petitions and interventions with care. I want to be a President close to the people – and that’s his mission,” said Karol Nawrocki.


Minister for the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad – Agnieszka Jędrzak

Professional background: Former Director of the International Cooperation Office at IPN. Gained significant experience in international relations, especially in promoting Polish history and culture.

Role in KPRP: Oversees relations with the Polish diaspora, maintains connections with Poles abroad, and promotes Polish culture internationally.

“I believe Poles around the world feel calm and reassured, knowing that Minister Agnieszka Jędrzak will handle their affairs. She has proven herself not only to Polish communities globally but also to foreign institutions. Her work in historical diplomacy at IPN, across the globe and continents, deserves the highest recognition,” emphasized Karol Nawrocki.


Presidential Chaplain – Fr. Dr. Jarosław Wąsowicz

Professional background: Salesian priest, scholar (b. 1970), Director of the Archive of the Salesian Province of Piła, former member of the Council of the Museum of the Second World War. Organizer of pilgrimages for football fans to Jasna Góra and initiator of the “Heart for Inka” campaign. In his youth, affiliated with the Fighting Youth Federation. Runs trips for children of Polish families in Vilnius Region, combining faith with patriotism.

Role in KPRP: Provides spiritual support to the President. His patriotic engagement reinforces the conservative image of the presidency.


Minister for Foreign Affairs – Marcin Przydacz

Political and professional background: PiS MP (b. 1985), Deputy Foreign Minister (2019–2023), previously Head of the International Policy Bureau at KPRP during Andrzej Duda’s presidency. Sat on the Sejm’s Foreign Affairs Committee. Resigned from parliament. His experience at the MFA and KPRP ensures foreign policy continuity.

Role in KPRP: Handles international relations and the President’s foreign policy agenda.

“We had a very intense time, even when I was President-elect. We were already fulfilling international duties. Just today, we met with a U.S. delegation. There were many such tasks, and Mr. Marcin Przydacz assisted me greatly. I welcome him to KPRP as an experienced civil servant and skilled diplomat who will safeguard our international relations,” said Karol Nawrocki.


Minister for Energy, Development, and Strategic Projects – Karol Rabenda

Political and professional background: PiS politician, former Deputy Minister of State Assets (2021–2023). Experienced in managing strategic sectors, including energy.

Role in KPRP: Oversees energy, development, and strategic projects, including energy transformation and infrastructure investments.

“Karol Rabenda, as Deputy Head of MAP in the United Right government, but also a local government activist and seasoned politician, now faces a great task – ensuring the success of Poland’s developmental projects. These are the projects Poles want and need for our common future – ones we won’t allow to be blocked. He’ll also coordinate with the business sector to find solutions that benefit both Polish entrepreneurs and our national community,” declared President Nawrocki.


Minister of the Chancellery – Wojciech Kolarski

Professional background: Civil servant (b. 1976), previously affiliated with KPRP under President Andrzej Duda, where he oversaw culture and national memory. Trained as a philosopher; served as Undersecretary of State (2015–2019) and Secretary of State (2019–2025). His current role remains unspecified but likely continues in culture, education, or historical policy.

Interestingly, he began his career with the Conservative People’s Party, which later merged with the Civic Platform. He was an aide to MP Jan Maria Rokita. In 2006, he left PO and by 2011–2015 was working for… Andrzej Duda, then an MP and later an MEP.

“He is a symbolic and ideological bridge to President Duda’s Chancellery. This is a gesture of appreciation for Andrzej Duda’s entire presidency and Minister Kolarski’s decade of dedicated service to Poland. We cannot afford to waste that work,” stated the President.
