“During our time in office, we doubled the size of the armed forces and equipped them with modern weapons – all of this in cooperation with the United States,” said Mariusz Błaszczak, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, on TV Republika.
“A very important week is coming to an end, perhaps critical for Poland’s security. Is Poland facing a freeze in relations with the United States? Could the Americans withdraw their troops as a result of the conflict sparked by the Marshal of the Sejm?” asked Tomasz Sakiewicz in “Political Coffee”.
The first guest of the program was Mariusz Błaszczak, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense.
“The December 13 coalition government is exposing us to danger. Our security is based primarily on the strength of the Polish armed forces. During our time in office, we doubled the size of the army and equipped it with modern weapons – all of this in cooperation with the United States,” he charged, referring to the scandal following the remarks of Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty.
He recalled that the U.S. provided Poland with weapons to which other countries do not have access.
“I am talking about the IBCS (Integrated Battle Command System), together with Patriot missiles. This is a system present only in the United States and Poland. If we add to that the F-35s, Abrams tanks, the HIMARS missile system with a range of up to 300 km – this is the best weaponry,” Błaszczak listed.
He pointed out that at the same time “the second most important person in the state and the prime minister, who attack President Donald Trump, are acting to the detriment of our country.”
“Ambassador Tom Rose did what he was supposed to do. I wish Polish diplomacy would defend the President of the Republic in this way. This is the task of Polish ambassadors and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Unfortunately, this is not happening, because we are dealing with a game on yet another level. Poland is governed by a left-liberal government that maintains a course from which President Donald Trump is effectively departing. President Trump is returning to normality,” he said.
As an example, he cited one of Trump’s first executive orders:
“He decided that there are two genders. Do you know how many genders the European Union sees? 240. That is why they attack President Trump so fiercely, because he is restoring normality.”
