Worried About Expensive Holidays? Siemoniak’s Advice: “Let’s Make Sure Everyone Earns More” [VIDEO]

For you and your family, will this year’s holidays be expensive? Never mind. Tomasz Siemoniak, a prominent minister in Donald Tusk’s government, has a brilliant remedy. Namely – “let’s make sure everyone earns more.” He really did say that.

The narrative pushed by politicians of the December 13 Coalition about supposedly cheap holidays is collapsing with each passing day. Not only because of numerous reports and analyses, but through the simplest possible verification – the shopping Poles are doing.

The cost of food products necessary to prepare traditional Christmas Eve dishes has clearly increased, which will be directly felt by household budgets.

A few days ago, we wrote that ANG Odpowiedzialne Finanse conducted a study on Poles’ approach to holiday spending. The analysis shows that as many as 69 percent of respondents plan to cut holiday-related costs, doing so in a thoughtful and controlled manner. Moreover, on the pages of our portal we also reported that according to the latest report by the “PanParagon” app, a particularly noticeable increase concerns carp prices.

This year, the median price of 100 grams of fillet amounted to PLN 5.49, compared with PLN 4.49 a year earlier. This represents an increase of more than 22 percent. As a result, the total cost of a basket consisting of 10 analyzed products rose from PLN 125.94 to PLN 135.42, which means a year-on-year increase of 7.53 percent. Siemoniak with pre-holiday advice…

And although both Donald Tusk himself and media friendly to his camp tried to play the “end of high prices” card, the reality is completely different. And it seems that Tomasz Siemoniak, the minister-coordinator of the special services, is well aware of this.

Nevertheless, appearing on Radio ZET two days before Christmas Eve, when asked about the issue of expensive holidays, he said:

“It depends on how one assesses it oneself – how much money one has. For someone who earns a lot, these won’t be expensive holidays, and for someone who earns little, they will be expensive holidays – that’s just how it is.”

But that’s not all. The minister shared a certain… piece of advice:

“Let’s make sure everyone earns more.”

That says it all.
