Powerful images have emerged of firefighters resting after tirelessly working to fortify Wrocław’s flood defences. These heroic individuals are pushing themselves to the limit, ensuring the safety of residents in the Lower Silesian capital as the city braces for an impending flood wave.
The situation in Wrocław is critical, with preparations in full swing. Underpasses have been closed, scaffolding and barriers dismantled, and sandbags strategically placed in flood-prone areas. Amid these efforts, it is the determination and relentless work of the city’s emergency services that have truly stood out.
“They are working around the clock, without pause, to make sure everything is secured. All for the safety of our residents. These are the true heroes—let’s give our emergency services a huge round of applause!” shared the Wrocław City Council, along with striking photos of firefighters in action, as well as moments of much-needed rest after their exhausting efforts.
