Two leading companies, Zaitra and SatRev, announce their partnership in the European Space Agency’s (ESA) SKAISEN project. This project aims to develop advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology for image processing on spacecraft. The project is led by Zaitra and partnered by SatRev, and two other partners from ESA member countries. The partnership is a combination of the unique competencies of these companies to jointly achieve success in this innovative project.
The collaboration includes familiarising Zaitra with the UniBus platform, providing imagery from SatRev to train the AI-based model and developing the test and development platform.
The SKAISEN project also plans to conduct functional and environmental tests to confirm that Zaitra’s algorithm, together with edge-computing technology, is ready to be sent into orbit. This ambitious undertaking aims to revolutionise imaging in space and SatRev is proud of its role in this innovative project.
