Zbigniew Ziobro on the Court Hearing: “A Fabricated Trial and Fabricated Evidence”

As reported by TV Republika, the court adjourned the detention hearing concerning former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro until 5 February 2026. “We are dealing with a fabricated trial and fabricated evidence,” Zbigniew Ziobro commented.

The former Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, Zbigniew Ziobro, commented on yesterday’s court hearing in his case on TV Republika. Ahead of yesterday’s hearing, the politician’s defense attorneys pointed to violations of the right to defense. They also filed a motion to exclude the judge.

“The facts revealed today by the defense, that evidence pointing to my innocence is being concealed, that the prosecution is afraid to show it and is hiding it from the defense and from the public, best prove that we are dealing with a fabricated trial and fabricated evidence, designed to eliminate a political opponent. In reality, thieves are prosecuting police officers,”

said Zbigniew Ziobro.

“I was a Prosecutor General who prosecuted Donald Tusk’s closest associates for theft, corruption, and embezzlement. Sławomir Nowak, Roman Giertych, Grodzki, Karpiński – these are people from his closest circle; they want revenge,”

noted the politician, who is staying in Hungary.

“There is a narrative that we allegedly stole, but what did this theft consist of? Of transferring funds for the renovation of the prosecutor’s office and to Christian organizations, rather than to LGBT causes and yachts, as representatives of PO (Civic Platform) did and continue to do. This was an action that served Poland’s security; that equipment is still in use today. By contrast, they stole and used those funds for their own private purposes,”

he added.

Ziobro emphasized that the actions of the prosecution “are one big farce, a political operation by Tusk intended to divert attention from their real acts of theft.”
