Zelensky: More Russian Drones May Have Entered Poland, Verification Underway

“The number of Russian drones that entered Poland and penetrated deep into its territory may be greater than previously reported. According to updated data, around twenty Russian drones may have intruded into Polish airspace during the night. We are verifying this information,” announced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The leader of Ukraine stated on the X platform that a new report from the commander of the Air Force sheds new light on the number of Russian drones that breached Polish territory.

Zelensky emphasized that all available data and details of the Russian attack are currently being analyzed.

“Already during the night, Ukrainian forces informed the Polish side through appropriate channels about the movement of Russian drones,” he stressed.

He added that the first breach of the Polish border by a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle from the Ukrainian side occurred at around 11:50 p.m. Polish time. “At least two Russian drones that entered Polish territory during the night used Belarusian airspace. In total, at least several dozen Russian drones were moving along the Ukrainian-Belarusian border and over western regions of Ukraine, approaching targets on the territory of Ukraine and, apparently, on the territory of Poland,” Zelensky wrote.
