Following recent reports about the presence of Black migrants on the streets of Szczecin, similar concerns have now emerged in Zielona Góra. According to local residents, young men have been gathering near schools and, in the evenings, are seen shirtless. The incident was first reported by the local news portal gazetazielonogorska.pl.
Illegal Migrants in Zielona Góra
In recent weeks, reports of illegal migrants staying in Poland have become increasingly frequent. Previous coverage has included cases of migrants being placed in children’s homes as well as groups of foreigners walking through the streets of Szczecin. A particularly unusual incident occurred in Lubin, where migrants were reportedly seen running naked through the streets.
Now, similar troubling reports are surfacing from Zielona Góra.
According to gazetazielonogorska.pl, illegal migrants have been gathering near schools, particularly during the morning and afternoon hours when children are arriving for or leaving from classes. Such situations have understandably raised concern among parents whose children attend schools in the affected areas.
“The children are scared. They often stand right by the school entrance. No one knows what to expect. It’s a very stressful situation for me as well,”
said the mother of a primary school student in Zielona Góra.
Similar accounts have come from several schools in the city center. Although no incidents involving these individuals have been officially confirmed, parents are increasingly voicing concerns about the safety of their children.
“None of us know who these people are. Some classmates joke about it, but most aren’t laughing. It just feels strange,”
one student told the portal.
“The Result of Open-Door Policies”
These concerning developments were addressed by Grzegorz Maćkowiak, head of the Law and Justice (PiS) party in the Zielona Góra city council. In his view, “this is the result of the open-door policies that have been promoted for years by certain groups.”
“Zielona Góra must not become a place where parents are afraid to send their children to school. The PiS government took concrete steps to protect our borders — and it is now evident that those measures were necessary. I expect the mayor to take decisive action,”
he declared.
