A doctor who has spoken publicly about the scandal at Warsaw’s South Hospital has come under fire from politicians of the Civic Coalition (KO). Former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro recalled what happened to the editorial staff of Wprost magazine in the past.
The controversy surrounding the scandal at Warsaw’s South Hospital continues to grow. According to information that has come to light, an informal “VIP lounge” allegedly operated within the hospital’s emergency department (SOR), providing politicians from the Civic Coalition and their relatives with privileged access to medical examinations while ordinary patients waited for hours in the corridors.
The department was coordinated by young doctor and KO councilor Dawid Kacprzyk, who lost his job at the hospital after the matter became public. It was later revealed that he had become a millionaire thanks to his work at the facility, although he is now reportedly attempting to return part of the money by correcting invoices.
Following the outbreak of the scandal, Civic Coalition politicians began criticizing the doctor who has been openly speaking about what allegedly took place at South Hospital.
“I see that you have been sent to the front line of intimidating whistleblowers,” attorney Bartosz Lewandowski wrote, addressing Bartosz Arłukowicz. The deputy chairman of KO initially claimed that he did not know Dawid Kacprzyk, only for it to later emerge that the two had campaigned together.
“The authorities built on lies fear the truth the most,” former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro wrote on X.
“That is why Tusk, the king of deceivers, during his first term in office ordered the silencing of the editorial team of Wprost, which had published recordings compromising people in power. That is why, when Tusk returned to power, he immediately seized control of TVP, Polish Radio, and PAP by force. And that is why today he imprisons a journalist exposing Giertych’s crimes and threatens a journalist who is revealing pathologies within the Civic Platform’s healthcare system. Tusk has always intimidated those who speak the truth. He will never succeed in intimidating the truth…” the Law and Justice (PiS) MP added.
