10 Days Since the Hospital Scandal Broke. “A Rotten and Corrupt Government. Their End Is Near”

“It has been 10 days since the Dawid Kacprzyk scandal broke. To this day, he has not even been questioned,” warned Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, the Law and Justice (PiS) candidate for prime minister. The politician also stressed that “the end of Tusk’s rotten and corrupt government is near.”

Scandal at Southern Hospital

In recent days, the media have reported on irregularities uncovered at Southern Hospital and allegations concerning the facility’s management. The case began with reports that selected individuals were being admitted to the hospital’s Emergency Department under a special procedure, as well as questions surrounding the financial settlements of former Civic Coalition (KO) councillor Dawid Kacprzyk.

Warsaw City Hall announced that the preliminary audit had revealed irregularities related to Kacprzyk’s presence on staff schedules, and that the hospital had filed a criminal complaint on suspicion of fraud. Rafał Trzaskowski also dismissed the hospital’s management board. The Warsaw Regional Prosecutor’s Office is currently conducting two investigations into the hospital’s operations.

In addition, new reports have emerged regarding the circumstances surrounding patient deaths in the Emergency Department and possible irregularities in the mortuary’s documentation. Meanwhile, the Patient Rights Ombudsman is conducting a separate investigation. Publicly available data show that the number of complaints concerning the Emergency Department has risen significantly in recent years.

Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, the Law and Justice (PiS) candidate for prime minister, commented on the case in a post published on X.

“It has been 10 days since the Dawid Kacprzyk scandal broke. To this day, he has not even been questioned,” the politician pointed out.

He added that “during that time, the authorities managed to question the whistleblower doctor, attempt to discredit him, blame the opposition for exposing the scandal, claim that there was essentially no scandal at all, and, through the words of a pro-government lawyer, declare that Kacprzyk is innocent.”

“A rotten and corrupt government. Their end is near,” he concluded.
