    Elżbieta Witek begins her visit to the USA

    The Speaker of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek has started her visit to the United States, today in Washington she will
    meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and tomorrow in New York she
    will talk with representatives of the Polish community.

    Speaker Witek will also meet with the co-chairs of the Group of the Baltic States of the House of Representatives, Adam Schiff and John Shimkus. She will also meet with the chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, James E. Risch and the highest-ranking opposition representative, Bob Menendez. The chairmen of the parliaments of Lithuania – Viktoras Pranckietis and Latvia – Inara Murniece and a representative of the parliament of Estonia will also participate in meetings with American politicians. The Speaker of the Sejm will lay a wreath in front of Jan Karski’s grave and visit the
    Washington Center of Culture of Pope John Paul II. In New York, Witek will lay flowers at the Katyń Monument.
