    Significant EU funding for Poland

Poland will be able to take advantage of over PLN 776 billion of support from the European Union, including PLN 623 billion in the form of subsidies and PLN 153 billion in the form of low-interest loans – the Chancellery of the Prime Minister summarized today the decisions of the EU summit.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said, after returning from negotiations in Brussels, that “this marathon and this negotiation relay have paid off very much”. “These were difficult, but very good talks, the kind that result in good development opportunities for Poland, but also a good reconstruction plan for the whole of Europe. These PLN 750 billion, or, as some people count in current prices well over PLN 770 billion, are a huge financial injection for the next few years,” the Prime Minister said. The Chancellery of the Prime Minister specifies that Poland will be able to obtain from the EU budget, i.e. under the Multi-annual Financial Framework and the European Facility for Reconstruction, approximately EUR 139 billion in the form of subsidies and EUR 34 billion in loans. Converted into zlotys – as calculated by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister – this means that Poland will be able to benefit from over PLN 776 billion in support (in current prices), including: PLN 623 billion in the form of subsidies and PLN 153 billion in the form of low-interest loans.
