Prime Minister on digital transformation: It gives hope

The pandemic has become a real catalyst for digital transformation, digitalization brings hope for the better, it is a chance for survival and even accelerated development – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the beginning of the 13th TIME Economic Forum.

‘The implementation of the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO) will be possible to a large extent thanks to the negotiated money from the EU reconstruction fund, and additional funds that the government will allocate for this purpose,’ claimed Morawiecki.

One of the pillars of the plan, he pointed out, is a surge in spending on the broader digitization of the country.

‘The ICT industry will be the forerunner of this digital transformation. It will play a key role in modernizing the health care system or adapting the education system to the requirements of the digital economy,’ said Morawiecki in his speech to the forum participants.

National Reconstruction Plan, based on five pillars, was presented over a week ago, and public consultations will last until 2 April. The five pillars of the National Reconstruction Plan – the document that will be the basis for receiving funds from the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility – are digital transformation, economic resilience and competitiveness, accessibility and quality of the health system, green and smart mobility, and green energy and energy intensity reduction.
