PLN 30 billion for the local roads fund

The government has allocated over PLN 30 billion for the local roads fund for the next few years. This will allow many communes, which have been underinvested so far, to create new communication solutions, said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Katowice.

The head of government, who is also an MP from Katowice, took part in the official opening of a new two-level intersection in the Katowice district of Piotrowice.

The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction that he was able to “open somehow” this very important section of the national road No. 81. As he emphasized, “Polish roads were not once synonymous with good, safe roads, just like the Polish economy”.

“Meanwhile, today Polish roads are becoming more and more comfortable, more and more safe – and for me this is the first necessary condition for very good economic development,” he said.

Morawiecki declared that the government “allocates enormous funds” for the development of roads, eg “over PLN 30 billion on the fund for local, commune and district roads for the next few years”.
