    V4 music concert

A chamber concert of composers from V4 countries took place on Friday in Moscow in the prestigious concert hall of the Zariadje Park, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Visegrad Group. The songs were performed by the Musica Viva orchestra.

The project was organised in Moscow by cultural institutes of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The program was composed of works of chamber music by composers from V4 countries (Antoni Dworzak, Bela Bartok, Eugen Suchoń, Krzysztof Penderecki).

“This cultural project is a manifestation of our presence – V4 – in Moscow, in a special place where we should show what we have the best,” told Polish media Polish ambassador in Moscow Krzysztof Krajewski.

“I remember the days when it was said after joining the European Union that the Visegrad Group was losing its right to be. As we can see, we are effective, we are together and together we can represent our interests, although sometimes they are obviously different,” added the diplomat.

The Head of the Polish Institute in Moscow Piotr Skwieciński emphasized that the cultural event of the V4 countries took place in a special place, which is Zaradje Park, located very close to the Kremlin. “It is the most prestigious and state-of-the-art, giving the best conditions for receiving music place in Russia,” said Skwieciński.

The Russian orchestra was conducted by Aleksandr Rudin. The concert took place with the participation of the public. In Moscow, theatres and concert halls can operate with 50% of the audience.
