The premise of the event is to bring together the creator and the viewer, as well as film, literature, music, and visual arts, all disciplines. It is an art project turning its back on mass cinema, intended for connoisseurs of cinema and other arts. The strength of the festival is the opportunity to meet artists, masters, and debutants every day.
The Festival is held from July 31 to August 8, 2021, in Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec on the Vistula River. The winners of the International Short Film Competition of the Two Riversides Festival will be announced during the Festival closing ceremony held o August 7 at 7 PM in the Festival Town cinema, 9, Nadwiślańska Street.

Two Riversides is an interdisciplinary cultural event presenting valuable Polish and foreign films: premieres, important films of the past year, and pictures that were crucial for the development of world cinematography, as well as theatre performances, exhibitions, concerts, and other events. Previous editions of the festival met with great interest of the audience and the media and were often enthusiastically reviewed.
