    Climbing world record for Aleksandra Mirosław

    Aleksandra Miroslaw leads after the time trial, the first of three competitions in the Olympic combined sport climbing competition in Tokyo. The Pole in the final of this competition set a world record with the result of 6.84.

    Eight players competed in a single-elimination knockout. In the quarterfinals the Pole was faster than Chaehyun Sto from South Korea, in the semifinals she was faster than Akiyo Noguchi from Japan and in the finals, she was faster than Anouck Jaubert from France.  It was on the decisive run that she set the world record. Previously, her time were 7.49 and 7.03.

     

    The Pole specializes in the sprint, in which she has won the world championship twice (2018 and 2019).  She was fourth in the 2019 combined
